Missing Market

Our post for this month saddly admits that we are missing Market up in High Point, North Carolina. We decided to live vicariously through the images of the showrooms we've frequented in the past. Those Interior Designers and Decorators of Tallahassee in our same boat are welcome to come browse our showroom instead! We've got the Global Views pear pictured in the image above sitting on our floor.

Tallahassee Interior Designers

So this week we've been looking into new market strategies and revamping our website. We're all very excited about the idea of a new web design and it's really reminded me personally of the interior designers I admire and look up to. I've heard so many customers walk into our showroom and complain about the lack of fine furniture in the Tallahassee area (mentioning, luckily, that we're the exception!), but truly that's what an interior designer can help with. Some of the interior designers that I really admire include Jon Vaccari, Clive Christian, Darryl Carter and Dan Carithers. Maybe one day I'll be one somebody else's list--you never know!

Clean Your Draperies without Dry Cleaning

ADO fabrics and draperies are machine washable! Toxic solvents are commonly used to dry clean fabrics, and some are suspected to contain carcinogens that can stay in fabrics for weeks. ADO's fabrics come with a five-year guarantee of washability and dimensional stability--without fading. Check out their Crystal sheer below.

Design & More stocks the full line of ADO drapery fabrics and sheers.

Grasscloth Resource Collection

Thibaut has a new handcrafted natural woven grasscloth collection in wallcoverings. The collection is environmentally friendly and comes in a variety of both solids and patterns--like the Kunqu Damask. Come check out the new books and samples we've ordered for the showroom floor. The textures and colors are phenomenal.

John Richard

I know it's been a while since our last post. Please forgive us for that! We are in the midst of deciding whether or not to carry the John Richard line as the majority leader in on our showroom floor. Please--post your thoughts and critique their product line. We want Tallahassee's input and would love to hear from any and all customers and clients.

Fort Mill Fabulous!

I traveled up to Fort Mill, South Carolina this weekend for my nephew's high school graduation. I stayed, of course, with my brother and sister in-law, in their beautiful home full of eclectic flair. She, my sister in-law, was my inspiration for going into interior design. Take a look at the way she's decorated her home. These are only quick photos taken before my drive back--they do not even do her skill justice as they do in person!

Semi-private walls in the guest bathroom allow for natural light to flow into the space and feed the plants.

Here's a shot of the spiral staircase leading to the third floor.

Photo of the front foyer where she mixed marble and granite to save on the flooring, but still achieved an elegant, tasteful look.

View into the open kitchen, where she filled glass front drawers with dried beans and rice.

Wall of Wonders

We finally did it--we sectioned off a 1/4 of the showroom floor to make a more intimate space for both our clients and ourselves. Russ spent all night arranging vignettes and accessorizing the space. Let us know what you think.
View of cash stand and chandelier alley--notice the bright new celery colored wall.

Lavander fields and fish--imagine!

Our more contemporary section. This mirrored console table is only 7" deep.
